SEAN

Sean had music all over his floor
A mandolin guitar and flute behind door
He found notes on Amergin He made the bell ring
In the darkest nights of winter a song to earth we’d sing
His carpet covered by a floor of song and dance
We beat a drum slowly evoked spirits in trance
He painted in colours wore panama hats
His mistress Carla had two Persian cats
Sean had a vision neatly kept in a bag
Pandoras box opened then fun turned to drag
He extolled the virtues of Aztec high priest
A sprinkling of Krishna the mystical east

Sean had music all over the place
A sitar from India a French double bass
He played for those undines or the railway rat
Wherever the music was flowing to be at
Sean had the universe opened and free
The essence of nature and fresh growing tree
He treated the music like Blake treated art
Took the folk by the head then tore it apart
Sean a Bohemian from the gasworks wall
Standing on shoulders of giants so tall
He lived for creativity avoided the sad
Sean Pollock rest in peace a Salford lad
